Color Picker

Learn how to use the Color Picker to set a custom color or choose from your event's theme palette.

The Color Picker has two modes: Custom, for entering a specific color value, and a theme palette selector for choosing from your event's existing theme colors.

Custom Color

In Custom mode, you can enter a color using any of the following methods. Switching between them automatically converts the current value:

  • HEX — A six-character hex code. Two additional characters can be appended to control transparency (00 = fully transparent, FF = fully opaque).
  • RGBa — Red, Green, Blue, and Alpha (transparency) values.
  • HSLa — Hue, Saturation, Lightness, and Alpha values.

Color may default to fully transparent

When a color is first added, it may appear fully transparent. Move the transparency slider all the way to the right to make it fully opaque.

For more on color formats, see CSS Legal Color Values on W3Schools.

Theme Colors

Click the Custom label to open a dropdown and switch to the theme palette. This lets you select from the colors already defined in your event's Website Theme Settings rather than entering a value manually.
