Auctria Costs

Learn about the costs associated with using Auctria.

Auctria is designed to be flexible and affordable for events of all sizes. This page gives a quick overview of costs you might encounter while using Auctria, including licensing, credit card processing, text messaging credits, and optional services.

🧾 License Pricing

Auctria licenses are based on a 12-month period and include unlimited events during that time. Your plan tier is determined by the total income from all events held during the license period.

💳 Credit Card Processing Fees

To accept online payments through Auctria — for donations, ticket sales, auction purchases, or sponsorships — you’ll need to connect a payment processor. Auctria does not process or hold any funds directly.

You must connect a Stripe or Authorize.Net account to collect credit card payments through your event website.

🟢 Stripe (Recommended)

Stripe is directly integrated with Auctria and is the fastest and easiest way to start accepting payments. Payments are securely processed and deposited into your Stripe account. Auctria charges a small platform fee based on your license tier.

You can also reach out to Stripe directly for a nonprofit discount on processing fees.

Processing Fees

You only pay processing fees on actual funds received through online payments. There are no fees for offline payments like cash or check.

Both the Auctria fee and Stripe fee are automatically deducted from each transaction before the remaining funds are deposited.

🟡 Authorize.Net (Gateway Option)

If your organization already uses a merchant account, you may be able to connect it to Auctria using Authorize.Net as a gateway. The merchant account’s processing fees varies by provider.

Warning

Because fees are handled externally, Auctria does not have access to your full transaction cost breakdown when using Authorize.Net.

Credit Card Fee Handling - Organization & Participant

It is important to note the organization pays both the credit card processing fees and the Auctria integration fees on credit card transactions.

However, you may choose to allow bidders to cover those fees. When a bidder opts to “cover the fees,” Auctria adds an extra payment amount at checkout based on both:

The processor fee (e.g., Stripe)
The Auctria platform fee (based on your plan)

This additional amount ensures your organization receives the full intended donation, purchase, or winning bid, with fees fully offset by the bidder.

📱 Texting Credits

The Text Messages feature allows you to send and receive SMS messages for bidding updates, check-in notifications, and more.

Included Credits: Emerald licenses include 1000 initial credits and Diamond licenses include 3000 initial credits.
Additional Credits: Available in bundles of 1000 for $25
Usage: Each message (sent or received) uses 1 credit

For example, if a guest sends a bid by text and receives a confirmation message, that exchange uses 2 credits.
