Selling Free or Discounted Tickets

This page provides guides for selling free or discounted tickets, such as when giving Teacher Tickets, Faculty Tickets, or Staff Tickets for an event. Multiple ways exist to provide free or discounted tickets in Auctria, so pick the best option for your event!
You can sell tickets at no cost with Auctria by checking the Force to $0 checkbox on the Sell Tickets page.
Open your **Auctria** event dashboard.
Click **Tickets** on the left sidebar.
Click **Sell Tickets**.
Select the ticket item you are selling.
Click the **Force to $0** checkbox.
Choose the purchaser (if they're in the system already) or add a new purchaser (if not in the system already) and complete the sale.
Auctria allows you to set up coupons for your For Sale items, including tickets! You can add a coupon code to any Ticket item by editing its Pricing section and adding it to the Coupons field.
teacher:50 will give a 50% discount when using the coupon code teacher.staff:$25 will give a 25 dollar discount when using the coupon code staff due to the $ in discount value.freebie will give a 100% discount when using the coupon code freebie because no value was specified.FACULTY:$50/max=$50 will provide a 50 dollar maximum discount on a purchase when using coupon code FACULTY.
Open your **Auctria Dashboard**.
Click **Tickets**.
Click **Ticket Items** block.
Select the **Ticket Item** that will receive a coupon code.
Click the **Pencil Icon** to edit the **Pricing** section.
Click the **Coupons** field.
Enter the **Coupon Code** and discount value.
Click the **Checkmark** to save your changes.
Click **Tickets**.
Click **Sell Tickets**.
Select the **Ticket Item**.
Click the **Coupon Code** field.
Type the coupon code into the field to apply the discount.
⚠️ Launch Pro Tip! When providing Coupon Codes to your guests, only give them the first part of the Coupon Code that appears before the colon (:) in its code.
Auctria also allows you to set up a Donation item for donors to "purchase" event night tickets for teachers, faculty, and staff members at various donation levels.
The following guide explains the setup of one such donation item and how to display it on the event website's DONATE page with the Item Catalog element.
Open your **Auctria** event dashboard.
Click the **+** icon in the *Items* block to add a new item.
Enter the item name in the **Title** field.
Choose the **Donation** option in the *Type* field.
Enter a description in the **Description** field, if desired.
Enter the number of available tickets in the **Quantity** field, if desired.
Enter the desired donation levels in the **Donation Levels** field, separated by comma.
Click **Add Image** to upload an image for your item.
Press **Upload** to add the image.
Click the **Add Item** button to add the item to your event.
To display the item on your event website, click **Event Website**.
Click **Edit Website** to open the *Website Editor*.
Select the **DONATE** page.
On the left sidebar, click the **Item Catalog** option and drag it onto the page where desired.
Select the *Item Catalog* to open the configuration option.
Click **Configure** under the *Catalog* header.
Click **Add Condition**.
Select **Choose specific items** from the dropdown.
Click the **Choose specific items** box to open the filter.
Enter the item name in the **Items** box.
Select the appropriate item from the list.
Click **Save** to save your changes.
To change how the item is displayed, click **Catalog Style**.
Select the **Full Item Card (A)** option.
Now your **Fund-A-Staff Ticket** is displayed on your event website's *Donation* page!
