Date and Time View
Learn how to show or hide website elements based on a date and time window using the Date Window visibility condition.
The Date Window condition lets you show or hide an element based on a specific date and time range. Select it from the condition dropdown in Website Element Visibility to access the date and time configuration options.
Trigger Types
The Trigger Type determines how the element responds relative to a date boundary.
| Trigger Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Before | The visibility rule applies before the specified date and time. |
| After | The visibility rule applies after the specified date and time. |
| Between | The visibility rule applies between two specified dates and times. |
Date Types
For each date in your trigger, choose how the date is defined.
| Date Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Custom | Set a specific date and time manually. |
| Online Bidding Start | Uses the event's configured Online Bidding start date and time. |
| Online Bidding End | Uses the event's configured Online Bidding end date and time. |
Event date types stay in sync automatically
When you use Online Bidding Start or Online Bidding End, the visibility rule updates automatically if you change those dates in your event settings — no need to update the rule separately.
Example: Timed Coming Soon Page
To display a "Coming Soon" message that disappears once online bidding opens:
- Add a text element or content block with your "Coming Soon" message.
- Set visibility to Show to with a Date Window condition.
- Set the Trigger Type to Before.
- Set the Date Type to Online Bidding Start.
Once the online bidding start time passes, the element automatically stops displaying to guests.
See Website Element Visibility for more details on visibility conditions.
