Modify the Bidder Registration Form
Learn how to customize the Comments field on the Bidder Registration form to collect specific information from guests.
The Comments field on the Registration/Checkout form can be relabeled to prompt guests for any specific information you want to collect at registration.
Comments must be enabled first
This requires the Allow bidders to enter comments during checkout/registration option to be turned on under Bidder Registration → Registration Options.
Steps
- Open the Website Editor.
- Navigate through the Bidder Registration form to the Review Registration step — this is where the Comments field appears.
- Double-click the Comments label text to open the Edit Content window.
- Update the label text to ask for the information you want to collect.
- Click Update to save your changes.
Credit card required?
If your Bidder Registration requires a credit card, you'll need to enter one to reach the Review Registration step. Temporarily switching to Test mode can make this easier.
Reviewing comments after the event
Comments collected through registration can be reviewed in Reports → Bidders → Registration Comments. See Viewing Registration Comments for more details.
