Use these references in Word catalog templates to list your items by category and type, so your catalog stays up to date as items are added or changed.
Word catalog templates only:
These references only work in Word catalog templates, including item, participant, and donor catalogs. They don't work in the PDF catalog's description, donor, and quantity templates. Those templates are each about a single item, so use Item References in the short form there, such as {{ Title }}.
Catalog details

| Auction name | {{ Auction }} | Spring Gala 2026 |
| Number of items in the catalog | {{ Count }} | 86 |
Example: "Browse all {{ Count }} items in the {{ Auction }} catalog!"
Categories
Loop through your categories with {% foreach Categories %} … {% end %}. Inside the loop, you can use:
| What it shows | Code | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Category name | {{ Name }} | Travel & Getaways |
| Category description | {{ Description }} | Trips, stays, and experiences |
| Sort order | {{ SortOrder }} | 3 |
Items by type
These lists hold the items of each type. Loop through a list to show its items, using Item References in the short form inside the loop. Inside a category loop, the lists only include that category's items.

|---|---|
| All items | Items |
| Donation items | DonationItems |
| For sale items | ForSaleItems |
| Live auction items | LiveItems |
| Online auction items | OnlineItems |
| Partial lot items | PartialItems |
| Raffle items | RaffleItems |
| Silent auction items | SilentItems |
For example, this lists the number and title of every silent auction item:
{% foreach SilentItems %}{{ Number }} {{ Title }}{% end %}
