Website Editor Mode Effects
Learn how the Website Editor's three modes affect the visibility of elements and pages on your event website.
The Website Editor has three distinct modes that control which elements are visible while you edit. The current mode is shown at the bottom of the Website Editor Sidebar.
Basic
Basic mode closely matches what visitors will see in a website preview. Elements set to show only in edit mode will still appear, but most visibility conditions are applied. This includes entries in the website header and elements such as buttons linked to a page with a Visibility condition set.
Standard
Standard mode is the default. It displays any element whose Visibility rule is tied to the event's configuration, including:
- Maximum bidding enabled
- Texting enabled
- Bid extension enabled
- Registration enabled without tickets
- Has admission ticket items
- Has sold sponsorships
- Has sponsorship items
- Has raffle ticket items
- Has live auction items
- Has online/silent auction items
Elements with any other visibility rule or condition type are also shown, marked with a visibility indicator icon. This applies to header entries — for example, pages like My Account will appear with a hashed style — as well as to elements like buttons linked to a page with a Visibility condition set.
Full
Full mode displays all elements in the Website Editor regardless of their visibility settings. No Visibility condition will prevent a website element, page, or menu entry from being shown in this mode.
