Website Element Visibility
Learn how to control when and to whom elements appear on your event website using visibility conditions.
Visibility rules let you control which elements are displayed based on factors like a guest's bidder status, the type of device they're using, or the current date and time. You can show an element only to a specific group, or hide it from everyone except that group.
Visibility is not a security measure
Hiding an element is a display-only change — the underlying content is still accessible to guests who know where to look. Do not use visibility rules to protect sensitive information.
Setting Visibility
- Select the element on your website.
- In the settings panel, click Add Behavior.
- Click Visibility to add it as a property.
- Click the Visibility property to open the configuration panel.
Hiding a page affects its menu entry
If you apply a visibility rule to an entire page, the page may no longer appear in your website's navigation menu for the affected guests. Review your menu after setting page-level visibility rules.
Show To / Hide From
Use the Show to / Hide from toggle to choose how the condition applies:
- Show to — the element is visible only to visitors who match the condition; everyone else sees nothing.
- Hide from — the element is hidden from visitors who match the condition; everyone else sees it.
Visibility Conditions
Choose a condition from the dropdown to define which visitors the rule targets.

| Bidder Status | Bidders | Applies to registered bidders. |
| Bidder Status | Bidders with a balance | Applies to bidders who have an outstanding balance. |
| Bidder Status | Bidders with a card | Applies to bidders who have a saved credit card on file. |
| Bidder Status | Ticket holders | Applies to bidders who have purchased admission tickets. |
| Display Conditions | Mobile view | Applies when the page is viewed on a phone or tablet. |
| Display Conditions | Desktop view | Applies when the page is viewed on a desktop or laptop. |
| Display Conditions | Edit mode only | Applies only while viewing the page in the Website Editor. Useful for placeholder content visible only to editors. |

| Event Configuration | Maximum bidding enabled | Applies when Maximum Bidding is turned on for the event. |

Visibility on email-linked pages
When guests visit your website through a link in a notification email, they may be automatically signed in. Visibility conditions based on bidder status will apply as expected for those guests.
Display Element To All Visitors
To remove a visibility rule and make the element visible to everyone, open the condition dropdown and select Display Element To All Visitors. This clears any previously set condition.
