Add Cash Donations To Your Website
Learn how to add a Donation Element to your event website so guests can make cash donations.
The Donation Element makes it easy to offer donations at set levels, at a guest-chosen amount, or both. You can add the element to any existing page — or create a dedicated donations page.
Adding the Donation Element
- Open the Website Editor on the page you want to edit.
- Drag the More Row Content element from the Website Editor Sidebar into the row space where you want the Donation Element to appear.
- In the Choose Row window, click Donation Element.
The element is added to the page with a default donation card. Customize it to suit your event.
Configuring Donation Levels
The Donation Levels setting controls the amounts guests can choose from. Enter values as a comma-separated list of whole numbers with no currency symbols or decimal places (for example: 25,50,100,250).
Use * to include an open field where guests can enter their own amount. If you don't want a custom amount option, leave * out of the list.
For details on all available settings, see Donation Element.
Creating a Dedicated Donations Page
The Donation Element can be added to any page on your site, including the home page or a Tickets page. If you'd prefer a standalone donations page:
- In the Website Editor, click Manage Pages at the top of the Website Editor Sidebar.
- In the Website Pages window, enter a name for your new page in the field next to Add New Page, then click the button to create it.
- When prompted to add a section, select the Pre-built tab and choose the Donation & Thermometer section.
See Manage Pages for more details on managing your website pages.
